SUNNY 99.1 | 99.1 FM KODA

In addition to numerous events in the Houston area, we host a St. Jude Radiothon in early December. The station broadcasts from “Live Lounge” converted to an operator call center manned by our volunteers to raise funds for childhood cancer research. In 2017, SUNNY connected with Houstonians to donate over $300,000 to the cause.

In addition to numerous concert events in the Houston area, we host our own annual station concert “BEAT BASH.” BEAT BASH attracts approximately 10,000 Hip Hop and R&B fans to one of Houston’s most prominent venues. BEAT BASH artists included Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, J. Cole, Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Trey Songz, Paul Wall, Slim Thug, Z-Ro and more.

KISS | 104.5 FM KQBT HD-2

KISS has been involved in several concert events in the Houston area. KISS has promoted shows from R. Kelly, Fantasia, Xscape, KC and JoJo, Tank and more. Steve Harvey’s annual turkey giveaway took place at Exclusive Furniture Store and local listeners received over 100 turkeys before the Thanksgiving holidays.

• Partnering annual with the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center and the Houston Rockets to bring out hundreds of listeners for blood donations that stay right here in Houston. Everyone who donates gets a commemorative 790 t-shirt. Includes live broadcast in PM drive.

Houston Astros Preseason Rally

• Debuting this year, a 790 station event rallying listeners for the start of the Houston Astros season. The World Series Champs look to defend their title in 2018, and listeners will get to mingle with their favorite 790 hosts, as well as special Astros guests.

• Over 150,000 people attend this event to raise awareness for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to purchase medical equipment and treatment for children who are in need of medical care.
